Cedar Lakes Cocktail Bar

Set within the lush surrounds of a landscaped lifestyle estate, this home sits at eye level with one of the estate’s most glorious lakes, enjoying uninterrupted views across the water.

As part of the design brief, CKW reimagined the existing space into a sensual cocktail bar, removing two sash windows to open the room fully to the vista beyond and create a vibrant, immersive entertaining environment with a sumptuous outlook over the water’s edge.

The result is a contemporary South African bar defined by tactile richness and refined restraint. Travertine quartz surfaces and dark timber tones are layered with tan leather, textured wallpapers, and soft ambient lighting, delivering a clean yet indulgent aesthetic.

Equally suited to relaxed sundowners or casual daytime entertaining, the bar flows seamlessly onto the adjoining terrace—an inviting setting for soaking up the sun while enjoying the ever-changing lakefront views.
